Blue Skies!

"In June 2009, a handful of concerned Queenslanders came together for the Blue Skies Scenario Building Activity, which aimed to build a new vision for Queenslanders with disability and their families. The Blue Skies Group (as they have come to be known), includes representatives from a broad cross section of the disability sector. The group's goal was to establish a scenario that would ask people to consider an alternative vision for people with disability, their families and supporters." The Minister for Disability Services, Annastacia Palaszczuk MP and the Blue Skies Group launched the Vision For An Inclusive Community on Tuesday 22nd September at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. Crossroads (Qld) iCan (Inclusion-Connect-Act-Now!) program group members attended the launch, along with many other individuals and groups interested in contributing their vision for an alternative future for people with disabilities.
